Agnes Turner Ames, 79, of Bahama, North Carolina passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at her home.

She was born in Summers, WV, the daughter of the late Claude Turner and the late Viola Turner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Edison Ames "Ed" and daughter, Regina Ames Woody.

Ms. Ames was a homemaker and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ames is survived by her daughter, Reva Ames Perry; son, Bryan Keith Ames "Boo"; and grandchildren, Jessie Woody, Brittany Perry, Lindsey Perry and Sterling Perry.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Durham, North Carolinawith Dr. Marc Francis officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday in the Richmond Family Cemetery in Sandstone, WV.
