Alma Rae Doyle Joseph, 91 of Greenup, Kentucky formerly of Hinton passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in the care of her family.

Born February 1, 1929 in Bacova, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Leo E. Sr. and Peggy Jenkins Arthur.

Alma was a 1946 graduate of Hinton High School and was a retired bookkeeper and former deputy county clerk for Summers County. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Ironton, Ohio and served as a member of the King's Daughters Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James A. Doyle; second husband, Everette Joseph; one sister, Joyce Johnson; and one brother, Leo E. Arthur Jr.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Doyle McGinnis of Greenup, KY; two sisters, Sandra Arthur Lawson of Canvass, WV and Jane Arthur Okes of Salem, VA; sister-in-law, Judy Arthur of Hinton; three grandchildren, Jamie Edmonds Filkins (Michael), Jessica May Preston (JD) and Jeffrey May, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Stormie Dawn Gates and John Walker Preston.

Graveside services and burial will held at 2:00 p.m. Monday Feb. 24, 2020 at Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton with brother-in-law Sonny Lawson officiating. Friends may call from 12:30 until time of departure for the graveside service.
