Alma Jean Willey, 93 of Hilldale, went home to be with the Lord Thursday April 13, 2023 at her home.

Born March 13, 1930 in Hilldale, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Burdette and Ethel Maye Tolbert Mann.

Jean was a graduate of Talcott High School and was formerly employed at Hilldale School and Bruce Allen's store and restaurant at Hilldale. Jean was also the owner/operator of the Montgomery Ward contract store in Hinton for many years. She enjoyed sewing, reading and search-a-word books. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church at Hilldale and was a lifelong resident of Summers County.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Mann; daughter-in-law, Brenda Kounse Willey and a son-in-law, James Fuller.

Survivors include her husband of 74 years, Raymond Kenneth Willey; one son, David Willey of Pence Springs, WV and fiancee' Linda Lilly and son Chris Pipestem, WV; two daughters, Dianne Majerick and husband Robert of Eden, NC and Karen Fuller of Oak Hill, WV; two sisters, Betty Puffenberg of Locust, VA and Peggy Cales of Daniels, WV; seven grandchildren, Scott, Matthew and Jamie Majerick, Jennifer Gosnell, Mark Willey, Erin Ambler and husband Mike and Andrea Hatcher; great grandchildren, Darren Majerick, Caleb and Lauren Gosnell, Grayson Daughtery,  Charlotte, Norah Hatcher, Jake and Malcom Simmons and Katie Carter and husband Shawn; great, great grandchild, Banner Carter along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

Private family memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday April 19, 2023 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Butch Honaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Keaton Cemetery at Greenville. Those wishing to attend the committal are asked to meet at the cemetery at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.
