Amy Suzanne
Crawford
May 9, 1979 — Dec 29, 2024
Graniteville
Amy Bragg Crawford, 45, left this world suddenly on December 29, 2024. Originally from Hinton, WV, she was currently residing in Graniteville, SC where she worked as a Human Resources Manager at the Federal Correctional Institution in Edgefield, SC. She is deeply missed by her family, friends, and colleagues.
Amy was a force of nature who wrapped everyone she encountered in love and warmth. Her smile would immediately make you feel at home, and she often knew what people needed before they ever spoke a word. Selfless, bold, empathetic, intelligent, and stubborn (in the best possible way), Amy would set everything aside to care for others.
She enjoyed going to the beach, reading, doing crafts, and spending time with family – even if it was just a phone call to say she loved them. She was both a cat person and a dog person, taking walks around her complex with her dog Blossom and cuddling with her cats Luna and Cocoa. Her trust in God was evident not only in the long talks she had with Him, but also in the fearless, relentless, and fiercely compassionate light she brought to the world.
Amy and her daughter Candace have a special relationship. During her time here on earth she would routinely send selfies of her outfits to Candace, and the two spoke daily. Her spirit continues to provide comfort and encouragement to Candace, who continues to talk to Momma every day.
Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents (PaPaw Clyde Grimmett, Grammy Gloria Grimmett, and Grandmommy Gladys Bragg), special great aunt Jerry Cornell, and stepbrother Josh Mann. Her special Poppa Jim Mann (stepfather) passed away just a few hours after her. In addition to her daughter Candace Crawford (fiancé Gracin Price), she is survived by her mother Teresa Mann; father Luther Bragg and stepmother Margaret Uckert; brother Chris Bragg (DeWayne Lawrence); sister Michelle Comer (Robert Comer); stepsister Jamie Mann; nieces Leah Comer, Sadie Mann, Lindsey Kurtz, Katie Hendrickson, and Hailey Bakker; nephew Lucas Mann; grandnieces Emma Hendrickson, Lillie Hendrickson, Rosie Kurtz, and Reagon Kurtz; grandnephews Wyatt Bakker and Jonathon Kurtz; several aunts and uncles; several cousins; and many dear friends and colleagues.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Lifeline Church in Hinton with Pastor Mark Bayle officiating.
