Angela Jane Lucas Adkins, 40 of 614 Temple St. Hinton passed away Tuesday December 26, 2017 at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston following a short illness.

Born March 30, 1977 in Hinton, she was the daughter of Deborah Tallman Lucas of Hinton and Roy Lucas and wife Roberta of Winston-Salem, NC.

Angela was a graduate of Ballard Christian School at Ballard and a graduate of Mt. State University. Angela was a Certified Nursing Assistant and loved dogs, horses, crafting and painting. She attended Riverview Chapel in Hinton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Choya Gene Adkins in 2015. Also by maternal grandmother, Betty Tallman, paternal grandparents, Roy E. Lucas, Sr. and Emma Savanna Lucas, uncles, Terry Tallman and Thomas Mark Tallman.

Besides her parents, survivors include one brother, Shane E. Lucas and wife Angela of Pence Springs. Step-brother, John Waters of Deepwater, WV and step-sister, Tabitha Waters of Pratt, WV. Nieces, Chiana Meador, Trista Erskine and Mia Lucas. Several cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 30, 2017 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Minister Gary Adkins officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
