Anna Marie Bennett-Carter, 55 of Marie, passed away Sunday April 24, 2022 at her home following a long illness.

Born September 30, 1966 on Zion Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Floyd and Goldie Mae Terry Bennett.

Anna was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant having worked at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Hilldale and Main Street Care in Hinton. She loved the beach and watching TV and most of all spending time with her beloved family, and two dogs, Toby and Buddy. Anna also enjoyed traveling and had done so extensively the last few years.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Michael Bennett.

Survivors include her husband of 8 years, Bruce Carter; one son, Justin Bennett and Janima Bond of Hinton; one daughter, Nikki Gill and Josh Harvey of Forest Hill; two brothers, William Bennett and wife Sue of Jumping Branch and Gary Bennett of Hinton; one sister, Ruth Gill of Hinton; one grandson, her little buddy, Braxton Shaver, along with many special nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday April 27, 2022 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
