Arthur Dean "Artie" Stump, 23 of 261 Main St. Hinton passed away Thursday May 7, 2020 at his home following a sudden illness.

Born June 30, 1996 in Gallatin, Tennessee, he was the son of Harold Dean Stump of Fayetteville, WV and Elizabeth Wells Beamon and husband Jack of Elton.

Artie was a 2016 graduate of Summers County High School and was employed by Southern Sanitation at Green Sulphur Springs. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and 4-wheeling. He was a member of Elton Community Church at Elton and was a loving son, father and brother and friend.

Survivors include his parents, Jack and Elizabeth Wells Beamon of Elton; father, Harold Dean Stump of Fayetteville; fiancee' Savannah Stephens and their son, Jasper Dean Stump of Hinton; brother, William Hunter Stump and wife Kara Ann and their daughter, Aryanna Stump all of Peterstown, WV; grandmothers, Shirley Stump of Page, WV and Dorothy Rudy of Pennsylvania; future mother-in-law, Doris Jean Bolt of Hinton along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and very dear friends who also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday May 14, 2020 at Elton Community Church at Elton with Pastors Matt Taylor and Roger Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery at Elton. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church.

Artie's friends will serve as pallbearers.
