Barbara Ann Adkins, 71 of 145 State St. Hinton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday March 13, 2016 at her home following a long illness.

Born August 20, 1944 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Carl Junior and Cronie Ellen Adkins.

Barbara was a lifelong resident of Hinton and was a loving daughter, sister and aunt. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Madelline Adkins, brother-in-law, Harold Simms and nephew, Harold Junior Adkins, II.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Harold Junior Adkins & wife Betty Jane of Hinton. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday March 16, 2016 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery near Hinton. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be; Russell, J.J., Nickie, Dickie and Duckie Adkins and Eddie Fox.
