Barbara Ann Bolling, 68 of Hilldale, died Monday August 16, 2021 at her home following a long illness.

Born September 9, 1952 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas B. and Nellie Fix Lowe.

Barbara was a 1970 graduate of Talcott High School. She was a former employee of the WV State Prison for Women at Pence Springs and retired from the Federal Prison at Alderson. Barbara enjoyed cooking, canning and was an avid reader. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Sherman Bolling June 3, 2020; also preceded by a sister, Patty Stewart and a granddaughter, Sawyer Bolling.

Survivors include two daughters, Robin Bolling of Hilldale and Wendy Bolling and fiancée' Thomas Gore of Hilldale; one sister, Linda Lilly of Pipestem; two grandchildren, Chelsea Mann of Raleigh, NC and Connar Gore of Hilldale; nieces, Mandy Wysocki of Boiling Springs, SC and Melanie Stewart of Forest Hill; nephew, Chris Lilly of Pipestem; beloved great nieces, Derian and Demi along with several cousins also survive.

Services to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday August 19, 2021 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Private interment will be in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
