Barbara Lolitia Giles, age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2024 in Hinton, WV.

Born on December 5, 1928 in Quinnimont, WV, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey Thomas Giles, Sr. and Catherine Arlene Anderson Giles.

She was employed as a dietary assistant for 30 years at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Va and was very passionate about her work.  Barbara was a devoted member of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church in Norfolk, Va.  She loved animals, especially her beloved Siamese cats, enjoyed watching old movies, and deeply cherished her Lord Jesus Christ.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Aubrey Thomas Giles, Jr. and William T. Giles; sister, Jessica Maude Giles

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister-in-law, Betty P. Giles; nieces, Ann Giles Manning and Terri Giles; nephew, Ted Giles and wife Robin; cousins, Billy Anderson, Dreama Clemmer, Billy Giles, and Mike Giles; 12 grandnieces, nephews, and their children.

A private burial will be held at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, Va.
