Barbara Carol Seefried, 91 of 124 Main St. Hinton passed away at 2:53 a.m. Wednesday May 8, 2019 at Raleigh General Hospital following a long illness.

Born November 11, 1927 at Green Sulphur Springs, she was the daughter of the late William Paul and Nellie Campbell Surbaugh.

Ms. Seefried was employed in the screen-printing industry in Cleveland, Ohio for many years and was a member of the Church of Christ, attending the Hinton Church of Christ while her health permitted. She enjoyed gardening, watching t.v., especially the news and was a caregiver for close family members. She had retired back to Summers County roughly 30 years ago.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert Lee Brown and two brothers, Charles and William Surbaugh.

Survivors include a sister, Deloris Richmond of Charleston, WV. Several nieces and nephews, including her caregivers, Regina Trout and Brenda Allen, along with Sam Hicks.

At Barbara's request, cremation services have been provided by Pivont Funeral Home and a private family interment will be held in the near future.
