Benjamin Franklin Hammonds, 71, of Hinton, passed away , Friday, September 2, 2022, at Genesis Pine Lodge, in Beckley.

He was born April 18, 1951, at Elton, West Virginia, and he was the son of the late Benjamin F. and Nellie Harron Hammonds. Benjamin worked in the roofing business for 20 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Dale Hammonds, Albert Hammonds, and Arnold Hammonds, and three sisters, Juanita Lilly, Viola Trout, and Vina Ward.

Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Tina Hammonds of Hinton, and Rebecca Hammonds of Charlotte, North Carolina, and a brother Raymond Hammonds, of Hinton, and good friend, Glen Ennis of Hinton.  Four grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Pivont Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.  Burial will follow at the Halidan Cemetery, Green Sulphur Springs.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service on Wednesday.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
