It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Billo B. Williams, Sr., 90, of Jumping Branch, who passed away peacefully on Friday, December 23, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born to Audrey and Okey Williams in Hinton, WV on September 27, 1926 and lived most of his life in Summers County. He attended Hinton High School and joined the U.S. Army in April 1945 and served in WWII. He married Nita Harper Williams on December 21, 1945. They recently celebrated their 71 ^st wedding anniversary.

Billo was a retired coal mine foreman from Eastern Associated Coal Company, and actively enjoyed hunting, gardening, and fishing, which was a life-long passion. He also enjoyed watching sports and playing cards with family and friends.

Billo is survived by his loving wife; daughters, Dianne Whitlock (Beckley), Karen Peters (Stafford, VA), Lynn Williams (and son-in-law, Jim Bitter; Johnson City, TN), and son Billo B. Williams, Jr., "Benny" (and daughter-in-law, Paulette; Forest Hill); 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, 4 brothers, and 4 grandchildren.

Visitation will be at noon on Wednesday, December 28 ^th , 2016 with funeral services to follow at 1:00 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton, WV with Pastor Bob Combs officiating. Billo will be laid to rest at the Harper Family Cemetery at Sand Knob, WV.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Stephen and Mark Whitlock; granddaughter, Nora Williams; nephew, Jerry McClure; and cousins, Jimmy and Joey Farley. A long-time family friend, Phillip Maddy, will serve as honorary pallbearer.  He was of the Protestant faith.
