Billy Joe Cox, 53 of Hinton passed away suddenly Monday August 17, 2020 at his home.

Born February 3, 1967 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Raymond and Lula Tipton Cox.

Billy was a self-employed grounds custodian and handyman. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and loved getting together and spending time with family and grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman.

Left to cherish his memory are his three sons; Billy Joe Cox, Jr. of Princeton and Tyler Cox and Chris Fox, both of Hinton; one daughter, Ashley Madden of Ohio; six grandchildren, Caleb Gunter, Brantley, Mason, Jaxson and Waylon Fox and Nelliel Cox; three brothers, Raymond Cox, Jr. (Mary) of Pipestem, Larry Cox (Tammy) of Madams Creek and Bobby Cox (Anna) of Hinton; two sisters, Barbara Lester (Vince) of Hinton and Judy Bowles (Franklin) of Ballengee; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Private memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 22, 2020 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Josh Cox officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Cook Cemetery at Pipestem.
