Billy Joe "Jigger" Meadows, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

Born on March 14, 1941 in Hinton, WV, he was the son of the late Bernard and Ethel Kirby Meadows.

Billy Joe, affectionately known as "Jigger", attended Beech Run Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and an expert negotiator. When it came to achieving a good business deal, he had a gift.  He loved spending time sitting on his porch and being with his family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard J. "BJ" Meadows; nephews, Terry Meadows and Bernard J. Meadows, Jr.; sister, Marie Carol Huffman; stepdaughter, Mary Trout.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving companion of 48 years, Marie Trout of Hinton; stepsons, Ralph Trout and wife, Brenda of Hinton, James Trout and wife, Loretta of Talcott, and David Trout of Hinton; stepdaughters, Dorothy Keeney of Charleston, WV and Shirley Dillon and husband, Kenneth of Crab Orchard; brother, Phillip "Sonny" Meadows of Beckley, WV; nieces and nephews, Phillip Wayne Meadows of Hilldale, Kendra Meadows of Beckley, Marcy Kinder of Charleston, Dyneal Garten of Talcott, Lagaye Basham of Talcott, Bonita Wolf of Lerona, and Steven "Bump" Meadows of Lerona.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton, WV with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Steve Angell, Jeff Trout, Brian Dillon, Chris Dillon, Jonathan Mills, and Jimmy Romanello.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Williams, Luther Wills, Joseph Wall, Monroe Eades, Garry E. Wheeler, and Phillip Wayne Meadows.
