Blanche Evelyn Cook, 95 of Lewisburg, died Friday February 19, 2016 at Main Street Care in Hinton following a long illness.

Born June 4, 1920 at Lookout, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Maria Taylor Holliday.

Ms. Cook was a homemaker and a retired employee of the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs. She was a member of White Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending yard sales and flea markets. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer L. Cook.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Dean Cook of Spartanburg, SC and Richard Cook of Hinton. Seven grandchildren, Christopher and David Cook, Robin Johnson, Barbara Harris, Scott Cook, Connie Cook and Ben Cook. Several great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday February 22, 2016 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Don Hannah officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
