Bobby Gene Heater, 62 of Alderson, WV, formerly of Boomer, WV, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA.

Born on March 23, 1962 in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Harry Dale and Mary Magdalene Heater Massey.

Bobby enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler with his dog, Rufus.  He also loved spending time with his family and eating comfort food.  Bobby was passionate about the music and legacy of Elvis Presley and collected memorabilia.

Besides his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by special friend, Victoria Pritt; sisters, Elaine Roberts, Sandra Evans, and Patty Munsey; brother, Russell Heater; grandparents, Everette and Mamie Massey and Oliver Bee and Genevieve Heater; brothers-in-law, David Pritt and Mark Lewis Muncey; niece, Roxanne Roberts.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Linda Curtis Ellison and Connie Pritt of Alderson, WV; daughter of the heart, Jessie Pritt of Left Hand, WV; brother, Larry and Jane Heater of Richmond, VA; nieces, Angie Duncan and her children, Josh Kelly and Tyler Duncan, of Montgomery, WV and Brittany Munsey and her children, Skylar and Layla, of Dupont City; nephews, Travis Munsey of Powellton, WV and David Roberts (Lauren).

The family would like to thank Dr. Colleen Rashau and the staff at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA for the excellent care they provided.  A special thank you to the following individuals for their love and support throughout the years:  Ken and Rita Job, Carl Workman,  John and Jennifer, Topsy and Jerry, Tim Scatthers and Cindy, Buzzy Kincaid, Tony Presock, and his River of Life Church family.

A Celebration of Life service will be at River of Life Church in Alderson, WV on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Anthony Carter officiating.  There will be a reception dinner afterwards.
