Brenda Gail Gurney of Lewisburg, WV passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the age of 75.

Born in Cranberry, WV on June 14, 1950 she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lahoma Harris Deeds.

Brenda worked as an LPN for many years.  Her greatest passion was helping others, a calling she fulfilled with endless generosity and a warm, welcoming spirit.  She found joy in making a difference in the lives around her, always ready with a helping hand or a comforting word.

She attended Pence Springs Community Church and had an enduring love for country music.  She also enjoyed taking long, leisurely rides through the scenic countryside and often spoke of the beauty of the rolling hills and the changing seasons, a wonder she never took for granted.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert "Bob" Gurney; daughter, Susan Grimmett of OK; three grandchildren, Dakota Lockhart, Malcolm Grimmett, and Mikayla Schiabo; five great-grandchildren, aunt Beverly Harris and  cousin Allen Brown and wife Kim

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 1:30 pm Sunday December 14, 2025 at Pence Springs Community Church with Pastor Roger Persinger officiating.
