Bruce Neal Richmond passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division at the age of 71.

Bruce was born on December 23, 1952, at the home of his grandparents at Madams Creek WV. He was the son of the late Arthur K. Richmond and Barbara L. Wills Richmond Gills.

He was raised in Pluto WV, where he enjoyed working on the family farm. He graduated from Shady Spring High School in 1970. Bruce received his Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary in 1987. For over 20 years, he was a minister with the United Methodist Church. He loved hunting, fishing, and time outdoors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Judy Bragg, brother Larry Richmond, and first wife, Patricia Sue Richmond.

Bruce is survived by his four daughters: Angela Ward of Pluto, WV (spouse Howard), Peggy Oldaker of Cross Lanes, WV (spouse Nick), Jennifer Smith of Pittsburgh, PA (spouse Matthew) and Amy Garrett of Nitro, WV (spouse David): his two sisters Debbie Vest of Pluto, WV (spouse: Kenny), and Stephanie Holland of Madison, TN (spouse Kenny). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation services have been provided per his request. A celebration of Bruce's life will be held on Sunday, August 18th, from 2pm-4pm (2-3pm Private Family; 3-4pm Public Memorial) at Pluto Community Church. A private burial at the Richmond Family Cemetery in Pluto, WV, will be held at a later date.
