Buck Brown, 52 of Forest Hill, WV passed away peacefully at his home on Friday April 18, 2025 following a long illness.
Buck was born August 26, 1972 in Martinsville, VA.
He attended Hinton High School and worked for SKB Construction Company and Wilson Monument Company for 20 years.
Buck is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Eugenia Thompson Brown; his beloved dog, Katyann; father, Buster Brown; brother, Steven Brown and wife Vickie; sister, Shelly Hinton and husband Chris; grandmother, Ruby Wills; special aunt, Carolyn Smith; father and mother-in-law, Eugene and Judy Thompson; brother-in-law, Edward Thompson and fiancé Beth Williams. Buck is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Buck was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Wills Brown; paternal grandparents, Austin and Audrey Brown and maternal grandfather, Hobert Wills.
Buck's favorite pastime was hunting. He loved spending time in the woods and was an avid outdoorsman. Buck fiercely loved his family and friends and always went above and beyond to help anyone who needed it. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services for Buck will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday April 22, 2025 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Steve Howdock officiating. Burial will follow in the Huffman Cemetery at Buck, WV. There will be no visitation. The family has requested those attending the funeral service, please wear blue jeans and casual shirts. For those going to the cemetery, a truck or SUV is recommended.
Pallbearers will be: Bubby Wills, Mark Wills, Scott Boggess, Robert Flinchum, Junior Gill and Chris Forren. Honorary pallbearers will be: Dayton Lowry, Doug Lowry, Pete Lowry and Buckley Reed.
