Carla Jane Monroe, 71 of Hinton, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Summers County ARH following a short illness.

Born on May 13, 1953 in Easton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Merle Lindsey and Meredith Jane Magnuson Monroe.

Carla moved to Hinton from the Boston area in 2010.  While living in Boston, she worked as a taxicab driver.  She adjusted quickly to WV and enjoyed the outdoors and feeding the deer.  Going out to eat, playing the game of Keno, and trips to the beach were some of her favorite things to do.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved spouse, Karen Patrick; dear friend, Bertie Grubb; and her family at Gotta Stop in Hilldale.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 pm on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton, WV.  Friends may visit from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at the Funeral Home on Monday.
