Mrs. Carolyn Marie Richmond, 76 of Nimitz, died at 4:57 a.m. Saturday May 6, 2017 at Ruby Memorial  Hospital in Morgantown following a long illness.

Born March 3, 1941 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Duria Bragg MacKenzie.

Mrs. Richmond was a graduate of Hinton High School and was a homemaker. She was also an accomplished seamstress for many years and was involved in the "Sewing for Souls" ministry. She attended Jumping Branch Tabernacle and was a member of the Jumping Branch Senior Citizens.

Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a sister, Reba Butler.

Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Glenn Richmond. Two sons, Rodney and wife Kim Richmond of Searcy, AR and Eric and wife Missy Richmond of Sod, WV. Two daughters, Melissa Warsinsky and husband John of Gastonia, NC and Michelle Higgins and boyfriend Mark Wray of Beckley. One sister, Eloise Wikle and husband Jack of North Port, FL. Fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren along with her loving and faithful caregiver of 4 years Wanda Richmond also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday May 9, 2017 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastors Donald Hannah and Tom Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
