Catherine Carol Keaton, 77 of True, passed away Thursday August 18, 2022 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston following a short illness.

Born May 5, 1945 in Raleigh County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Frances Petrey Meador.

Mrs. Keaton was a former chef at  Mountain Creek at  Pipestem State Park and Oak Supper Club both at Pipestem. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed canning, cooking for family and was also a caretaker for members of her family.

Besides her parents,  she was preceded in death by one sister,  Gloria "Dee Dee" Meador, one brother,  Randy Meador and a grandson,  Trey Bennett.

Survivors include her loving husband of 41 years, David Keaton. One son,  Robbie Meador of Pipestem; two daughters,  Rainelle Bennett of Hinton and Linda Meadows and companion Joseph Blasingame of Hinton; six brothers,  Roger Meador and wife Sandy of Bozoo, WV,  Samuel A. Meador, Jr. and wife Peggy of Pipestem, Danny R. Meador of Pipestem, Larry D. Meador and wife Yvonne of Winston-Salem,  NC, and Gary W. Meador and wife Terri of Nimitz, WV; one sister,  Barbara Begil of Proctorville, OH; seven grandchildren,  Terra Bennett and fiancee Justin Turner, Tucker Bennett and wife Haley, Ali Meador, Jacob Meador, Nathan Meador and Levi Meadows; two great grandchildren,  Braxton and Corbin Lambert, along with a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday August 21, 2022 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Minister Gary Adkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
