Cecil R. Gill, 63 of 203 Main St. Hinton, passed away Thursday May 23, 2019 at his home following a sudden illness.

Born November 11, 1955 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Calvin and Pauline Plumley Gill.

Cecil was a graduate of Hinton High School and was a retired auger operator for MonPower Corporation. He was a former member of the Hinton Fire Department and enjoyed classic cars, drag racing and fishing. Cecil especially loved going to his camp in Braxton County. He will be missed by his beloved family and friends.

Besides his parents, preceding him in death are 2 brothers, Dale and Gary Wayne Gill.

Survivors include his former wife and best friend of 46 years, Billie Jean Gill of Burnsville, WV. One daughter, Katie Jo Gill of Burnsville, WV. Two brothers, Calvin Gill, Jr. and Billy Dan Gill, both of Hinton. One sister, Opal Thompson of Chesire, OH.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday May 28 ^th , 2019 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Benny Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
