Charles Williams "Chuck" McDaniel, 76 of Beckley passed away Thursday January 30, 2025 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley following a long illness.

Born December 20, 1948 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Ruth McCommack McDaniel.

Chuck was a 1966 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Chuck was a master race car builder, establishing Thurmac Race Cars. He built numerous cars that competed in the short-track race circuit in the area. Chuck also loved photography, golfing and fishing.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jim Dillon.

Left to cherish Chuck's memory are one sister, Donna Dillon of Hinton; special niece, Margaret Bonenberger and husband Brad of Bridgeport, WV, along with their daughter, Donna Katherine; special cousin, Fred McDaniel of Forest Hill along with numerous friends in the Beckley area.

Cremation services have been provided by Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton and a graveside service at the family plot at Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton will be announced in the near future.
