Charles Thomas "Speedy" Shrader, 64 of Cashmere, died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday September 20, 2016 at his home following a long illness.

Born April 1, 1952 in Hinton, he was the son of Thomas Shrader of Cashmere and the late June Patrick Shrader.

Mr. Shrader was a 1970 graduate of Hinton High School and was a member of the 1968 state football championship team. He attended Marshall University and was retired from the WV Department of Highways. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing and also attending gun shows.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by an two brothers, Ricky Shrader and an infant and also by a sister, Barbara Gillian.

Survivors include his father, Thomas Shrader; one brother, David Shrader of Peterstown; a niece whom he thought of as a daughter, Beth Hoke of Peterstown; a nephew, Jeremy Browning of Peterstown and a sister-in-law, Janice Shrader of Hinton; two nieces, Janet Bonacarte and Jennifer McMeekin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday September 23, 2016 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Tim Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Bennett Cemetery on Sunset Hill near Hinton. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.

Friends will serve as pallbearers.
