Charles Franklin Spangler, 65 of Pipestem, passed away at 12:45 p.m. Saturday December 29, 2018 at his home following a long illness.

Born June 2, 1953 in Hinton, he was the son of Lou Ann Houchins Spangler Sprinkel of Pipestem and the late Robert W. Spangler.

Mr. Spangler was a carpenter in the construction industry and retired from Pipestem State Park from the maintenance department. He was an avid outdoorsman, and especially loved hunting, horses and his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Spangler.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Lou Ann Houchins Spangler Sprinkel of Pipestem. His loving companion, Stacy Ward of Pipestem and three brothers, Ron Spangler and wife Martha of Fairmont, WV, Bill Spangler and wife Susan of Pipestem and Jim Spangler of Pipestem.

The family has honored Charles' wish to be cremated and there will be no public services at this time.
