Clark Kent Sizemore, 68 of Hilldale, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg following a long illness.
Born on April 20, 1955 in Mullens, WV, he was the son of the late Elmer Lee and Lennie M. Acord Sizemore.
Clark was a 1973 graduate of Talcott High School and joined the military shortly after, proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force. Clark retired from the US Postal Service and will be remembered by many for always going that extra mile for his customers. He attended River Valley Baptist Church, enjoyed going to car shows, and liked to spend some of his free time fishing. Clark was a devoted Mountaineer football fan and a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon, in 2019; brother, Dwight Sizemore; sister, Sue Frazier.
Those left to cherish his memory include his two sons, Philip Sizemore and wife Shelley of Frederick, MD and Jeremy Sizemore of Winchester, VA; grandson, Jack Sizemore; brothers, Dick Sizemore of Ravencliff, WV and Kenny Sizemore of FL; father-in-law, Benny Boone; sister-in-law, Kathy Boone of Hinton; brother-in-law, Bryan Boone and wife Cindy of Hilldale; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm, Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton, WV with Pastor Nathan Smith officiating. A visitation will be at Pivont Funeral Chapel in Hinton on Thursday from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
