Condel Joseph "Joe" Conner, 79 of Forest Hill, died Tuesday March 21, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston following a short illness.

Born May 5, 1937 at Ramp, WV he was the son of the late James and Ida Gwinn Conner.

Mr. Conner was retired from West Virginia Water Company in Hinton with 38 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith and had lived most of his life in Summers County.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Conner, a daughter, Lisa Lynn Conner Cales, three brothers, Leonard, Eugene and Jackie Conner and one sister, Nola Gwinn.

Survivors include three sons, Rocky Conner and wife Samantha of Forest Hill, Glen (Ricky) Conner and wife Judy of Big Creek and Jeff Conner and wife Teresa of Hinton. Companion, Frances Sue Sears, ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive.

Per Mr. Conner's request, cremation services have been provided by Pivont Funeral Home.  There will be no services at this time.
