Connie Lee Martin, 66 of Sandstone, passed away Wednesday March 4, 2020 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

Born September 23, 1953 in Chicago, IL she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Mary K. Jones Martin.

Connie was a retail clerk and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by her entire family.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Martin, a daughter, Sandra Richmond, one granddaughter, Mary Grace Richmond and one brother, Junior Martin.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Martin; two sons, Lenny Richmond of Sevierville, TN and David Richmond of Sandstone; one step-daughter, Jennifer Seagle of Sevierville, TN; one sister, Phyllis Martin of Cosby, TN; four grandchildren, Mikle Whaley, Misty Richmond, Crystal Adams and Philip Denny, along with several nieces and nephews also surviving.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday March 9, 2020 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
