Conrad A. Graham was born in Sandstone, WV on April 9, 1928 and departed this life Tuesday morning July 25, 2023. He was the son of Ovid L. and Mattie Bragg Graham. Cotton, as he was known by most who knew him, graduated from Sandstone High School and began a postal career at the Sandstone Post Office. He served with the United States Army during the Korean War from 1950- 1952 and resumed his postal career in Hinton upon his return in 1952. He was appointed the position of Postmaster in Hinton in 1957 and stayed in that position until he retired in 1981. He was of the Christian faith. Cotton was a member of the Hinton Masonic Lodge AF & AM for 65 years. He was a 70-year member and past Exalted Ruler of the Hinton Elks Lodge. He was a charter member and first president of the Summers County Historical Society and a past president of the Hinton Kiwanis. He was on the original Board of Directors working to open Summers County Hospital, serving as the first secretary and the second president for the board.

Besides his parents, Conrad was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert L. Graham and Ovid L. Graham, and one son, Kevin T. Graham.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eva L. Patrick Graham, one son, Keith (Georgia) Graham, one daughter, Nancy (Greg) Lilly, a sister-in-law, Wilma Graham, four grandchildren, Tanner (Julie) and Tucker Lilly, Autumn (Austin) and Austin Graham, and three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 28, 2023, at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.  Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens.  Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Blankenship, Ferrell Burdette, and Jimmy Reed.
