Cynthia Hope Offenberger, 73 of Cashmere, WV passed away suddenly Wednesday August 16, 2023 at her home.
Mrs. Offenberger was born October 17, 1949 in Gallipolis, Ohio, a daughter of the late Donald L. and Marie Brown Dupre.
She was a graduate of Waterford High School in Waterford, Ohio and was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. Cindy was a devoted member of Freedom Baptist Church at Powley's Creek in Summers County, where her husband is Pastor. She loved attending church, cooking wonderful meals for family and camping. Most of all, she simply loved her family and eating ice cream with her special doggy, Holly.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rufus Dupre.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Pastor John Offenberger; five children, Jennifer Adams and husband Shane of Ravenswood, WV, Trena Hurley and husband Byron of Peterstown, WV, Beth Lee and husband Jody of Ballard, WV, John Offenberger, II and wife Amanda of Cashmere, WV Hope Trump and husband Matt of Princeton, WV; grandchildren, Crystal Kelly and husband Mike, Amber Smith and husband Shawn, Amanda Barker and husband Josh, Jeremiah Lee, Alyssa Offenberger and fiancé Jacob Townsend, Ethan Lee and wife Angel, Paul Offenberger, Kirsten Trump, Scott Offenberger, Chad Offenberger, Kayley Trump, Rachel Hurley, Karis Trump, Noah Lee and Kinsey Trump; several great grandchildren; one sister, Carol Voigt and husband Carl of Penn Hill, PA and one brother, Donald Dupre and wife Faye of Waterford, OH; several nieces and nephews also survive; a lifelong friend, Harriet Henrie of Williamstown, WV.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday August 19th, 2023 at Freedom Baptist Church at Powley's Creek with Pastor Robert E. Lee and Pastor Walt Bonnell officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery at Powley's Creek. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the church.
Jeremiah Lee, Ethan Lee, Paul Offenberger, Scott Offenberger, Chad Offenberger, Noah Lee and Hunter Bradley will serve as pallbearers.
