Dallas Gean (Tink) Goode, 67 of Big Creek, passed from life unto death on Monday October 8, 2018 at Giles Community Hospital following a short illness.

Born August 30, 1951 on Bud Mountain, Wyoming County, he was the son of the late Leonard L. and Hattie Rebecca Thomas Goode.

Dallas was retired from the Maintenance of Way for Norfolk and Southern Railway Company. His happiest moments were sitting on the riverbank with a fishing rod in his hands. He loved spending time with his daughters and grandchildren, as well as gardening and wood-crafts. He was of the Baptist faith.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters, Brenda Lu, Anita Lynn, Wanda Sue and her husband Ord Lester, Harriet Rebecca and her husband James Main, Darlene and her husband Johnny Cantley and Phyllis Goode Green. Three brothers, Albert Lee, Roger and Frankie (Patty) Goode. Father and mother-in-law, Walter and Isabelle Belcher Lester.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Lester Goode. Three daughters, Myra and husband Mark Wade of Floyd, VA, Crystal Goode and companion Larry Richmond of Hinton and Heather and husband Tommy Steers of Hinton. Grandchildren, Michael (Mikey) Thomas, Reese (Bubby) Thomas, James Wade, Daniel Foster, Renea Foster, Meghan Gill, Lillian Steers, Shyanne Bolt, Savannah Steers and Abigail Steers. One sister, Sharon and husband Simon Dixon of Flora Home, FL and one brother, Jimmy Goode of Mullens, WV. Numerous nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law also survive.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday October 12, 2018 at the Leonard Goode Memorial Cemetery on Bud Mountain with Rev. William Vern Blankenship and Rev. Russell McCoy officiating.  Those wishing to attend the services are asked to meet at the cemetery.
