Daniel Mark Carr, 60 of Talcott, died at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday January 9, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown following an extended illness.

Born May 16, 1957 in Beckley, WV he was the son of Phyllis Daniel Carr of Palatka, FL and the late Paul John Carr, Jr.

Mark was a graduate of Gaithersburg, Maryland High School and was a self-employed contractor. He loved people and animals and his favorite hobby was restoring vintage cars. He was of the Presbyterian faith and had been a resident of West Virginia since 2006.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul J. Carr, III.

Survivors include his mother, Phyllis Daniel Carr of Palatka, FL. One daughter, Virginia Lea Sharp of Myrtle Beach, SC. Two sisters, Helen Ann Carr of Charleston, WV and Mary Lou Carr of Palatka, FL. One granddaughter, Jenaveve Marie Sowell of Myrtle Beach, SC.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday January 12, 2018 at Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton. There will be no visitation. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
