Daniel Lee Gillian, 1935 – 2018

Daniel Lee Gillian, 82, died March 31, 2018, in Beckley, West Virginia. Born September 25, 1935 in Sandstone, West Virginia, Dan was an Air Force Veteran and graduate of Concord College. His 31 year career with United Airlines took him to Northern Virginia where his daughter still resides and Chicago, Illinois where his son lives. Upon retirement in 1994 he returned home to West Virginia and enjoyed winters in Florida.

Dan enjoyed all sports especially playing golf and watching his favorite teams. He and his family travelled much of the country over the years.

Devoted husband and father, Dan is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Cindy Forrer (husband Steve) and son Dwayne Gillian. He loved his six grandchildren, Hunter, Cole, Dylan, Savannah, Daniel and Hailey.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 30th, 2018 at the Richmond Cemetery at Sandstone. Attendees are asked to meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations of sympathy may be made to your local hospice.
