Daniel Wayne Moss, 50 of Mt. Hope, passed away Sunday July 26, 2020 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley following a long illness.

Born July 29, 1969 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Joseph Anthony and Sheila Adkins Moss.

Daniel was a graduate of Mt. Hope High School and excelled in football as quarterback. He was a coal miner and enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching sports. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Nowak and Logan Daniel Moss, both of Talcott; one sister, Tammy Cox of Jumping Branch; aunts, Dottie Bennett of Jumping Branch and Debbie King of North Carolina.

Graveside services will be 6:00 p.m. Saturday August 15, 2020 at Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Pastor Don Hannah will officiate. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
