Danny Lee Adkins, 73, of Hinton, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at his home.

Born December 15, 1945, in Hinton, he was the son of the late Basil and Louise Adkins Miller.

Mr. Adkins was a retired custodian at the Summers County Court House.  He was of the Baptist faith, and was a former member of the Hinton Fire Department.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Adkins, and Basil Miller, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are two brothers, Johnny Miller of Hinton, and Jackie Miller and wife Judy, of Lexington, Kentucky, and one sister Judy Ann Harless and husband Butch, of Beckley, and a special friend, Martha Ruff of Hinton.  Several nieces, and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2019, at Pivont Funeral Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt and Pastor Roy Carter officiating.  Burial will follow at the Hilltop Cemetery, Hinton.  Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service on Monday.  Members of the Hinton Fire Department will serve as pallbearers.
