Danny R. Persiani, 65 of Hinton, passed away at 7:21 p.m. Friday September 20, 2024 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley surrounded by his children following a lengthy illness.

Born October 26, 1958 in Bluefield, WV he was the son of the late Louis and Dolly Marie Faulkner Persiani.

Danny was a graduate of Welch High School and enlisted in the US Navy following graduation. He was a Persian Gulf War veteran and retired from the Navy. Danny was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing and was especially fond of sports. He loved watching his sons compete for the Summers County High School Bobcats. He was a member of Tempa Baptist Church at Tempa, WV and was a faithful and devoted father and grandfather. He will be missed by his entire family, but his courage and strength will be remembered and cherished by those closest to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Dolly Persiani.

Survivors include three sons, Jacob Persiani and wife Lexi of True, WV, Timothy Persiani and wife Kaylee of Hinton and Danny Kinley and wife Kim of Thomasville, NC; one daughter, Christina Mollette of Michigan; two brothers, Jesse Persiani and wife Erlene of Bristol, VA and Jackie Persiani and wife Bessie of Roanoke, VA; one sister, Sylvia Kinley of Thomasville, NC; two granddaughters who were the light of Danny's life, Brynnleigh and Haisley Persiani also survive, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate Danny's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday September 25, 2024 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Bobby Reed officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Jacob and Timothy Persiani, Walt Gillen, Billy Milam, Danny Ray Kinley and Dennis Bailey.
