Darlene Ruth Fleshman, 73 of Green Sulphur Springs, died Thursday May 13, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC following a short illness.

Born March 15, 1948 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Luther F. and Maudie Gill Hicks.

She was involved with her family business, Fleshman's Saw Mill. Ruth loved camping and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Adkins; second husband, Robert Fleshman; son, Choya Adkins; four brothers, Lloyd, Darrell, Jesse and Denver Hicks; one sister, Elizabeth Hicks.

Survivors include a sons, Mark Adkins of Princeton, WV; sister, Ethel Dicus of Florence, KY; sister-in-law, Janet Hicks of Columbus, OH; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
