David was taken to Heaven by God on Sunday August 4, 2024. He died at his home in Beckley from health issues of past several years.

David was the son of Robert Lee and Vada Mae Buckland, both deceased.  He was also preceded in death by his Sister, Ruth Buckland and his Brother John Buckland.

David is survived by a sister, Mary Buckland Dickson & husband Richard of Covington VA and his youngest brother James Buckland & wife Delores of Atlanta,GA. David has many Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins as well as his Best Friend Thomas (Junior) Johnson, of Beckley,WV.

David loved God, and was always eager to speak his Faith.  He worked as a painter and roofer for many years, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at a later date at New Hope Church Cemetery at Marie, WV.
