David Vernon Frazier, 80 of Ballengee, passed away Saturday September 7, 2019 at Princeton Community Hospital following a long illness.

Born January 22, 1939 at Ballengee, he was the son of the late Joyce W. and Virginia Holland Frazier.

David was a graduate of Greenville High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was retired from General Motors Corporation. He retired back to West Virginia where he enjoyed farming and especially spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church at Ballengee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Jackson Frazier on Oct. 28, 2017. Also preceded by 3 brothers, Randall, Steve and Donnie Frazier and 2 sisters, Jackie and Linda Frazier.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy David Frazier and wife Ruth Ann of Hinton and Jeff Frazier of Ballengee. One daughter, Sheila Copeland and husband Kurt of Shelby, OH. Four sisters, Shirley Weikle of Bellville, OH, Jeannie Davis of Pembroke, VA, Bonnie Clark of Christiansburg, VA and Katrina Frazier of Ballard, WV. Three grandchildren, Rebecca Beamer & husband Bernie, and Courtney and Carter Copeland. Two great grandchildren, Jackson and Jacob Beamer.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday September 11, 2019 at Oak Grove Methodist Church at Ballengee with Rev. Gary Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
