Dean Emerson Adkins, 7 day old infant son of Skyler Adkins and Bobbie Gillian of Jumping Branch became an angel in Heaven on Wednesday December 2, 2020 at Summers County A.R.H.

Dean was born November 25, 2020 in Beckley.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Adkins and maternal grandmother, Dena Gillian.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Maxx Adkins and a sister, Abigail Adkins; maternal grandfather, Bobby Gillian of Charleston, WV; paternal grandmother, Nicole Adkins of Pipestem, maternal great grandparents, Drema Patterson and Richard Morton, both of Meadow Bridge and paternal great grandparents, "Ducky" and Debbie Adkins of Hinton. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 12, 2020 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Roy Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
