Deborah Jane Lucas, 64 of 614 Temple St. Hinton died Monday June 4, 2018 at Raleigh General Hospital following a long illness.

Born November 13, 1953 in Cincinnati, OH she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Jane Brown Tallman.

Debbie was a graduate of Hinton High School and also Bluefield State College School of Nursing. She had been a registered nurse for Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley and also Summers Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Hilldale for many years. She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Lucas Adkins; 2 brothers, Terry and Mark Tallman and a sister-in-law, Teresa Tallman.

Survivors include a son, Shane Lucas and wife Angela of Pence Springs, WV. Three grandchildren, Chiana Meador, Trista Erskine and Mia Lucas. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday June 7, 2018 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with  Pastor Don Hannah officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
