Della Delores (Surbaugh) Richmond, 90 of Jumping Branch, formerly of Elkview, WV, went to be with our Lord Saturday September 7, 2024 at the Rockin Chair Care Home in Lerona.

Born December 31, 1933 at Elton, WV she was the daughter of the late W.P. "Bill" Surbaugh and Nellie Campbell Surbaugh.

Ms. Richmond was a graduate of Sandstone High School and retired as an economic services employee for the state of West Virginia. She was also a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed reading her Bible, needlework and gardening. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and a   loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her entire family.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James M. Richmond; a son, George Anthony Richmond; brothers, WP Surbaugh, Jr. and Charles Ray "Bus" Surbaugh and one sister, Barbara C. Seefried.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Deborah Dodrill of Jumping Branch, WV and Sharon "Bev" Young and husband Faron of Jumping Branch, WV; two sons, Michael Richmond and wife Marie of Waycross, GA and Broderick (Vince) Richmond and wife Debbie of Pinch, WV; three wonderful grandchildren, Andrew Richmond and wife Jordan of Barboursville, WV, Brett Dodrill and wife Julie of South Charleston, WV, and Michael W. Richmond of Red House, WV; step-grandchildren, Shelly Barnes and husband Jason of Buchanan, VA, John Uldich and wife Erin of Bardstown, KY and Carrie Todd of Pinch, WV; precious great-grandchildren, Aidan, Lanie and Gavin Richmond of Barboursville, WV, Chloe and Brooklyn Richmond of Red House, WV, Emily and Rebekah Barnes of Buchanan, VA, Emily and Owen Uldich of Bardstown, KY and Colbey Todd of Pinch, WV; She will also be missed by her many beloved friends in the family of God.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday September 11, 2024 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Minister Paul Lane officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery at Sandstone, WV. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to thank The Rockin' Chair Residential Care  and employees at Larona, WV  for their exceptional care and love  for our  Mother during her stay with them.
