Dennis Dean Hamm, 70 of Nimitz, died Thursday January 2, 2020 at his home following a short illness.

Born August 23, 1949 at Nimitz, he was the son of the late Willie Judson and Emma L. Richards Hamm.

Mr. Hamm was a U.S. Army veteran and was a formerly a loader operator for Beech Mountain Timber at Nimitz. He was a member of Sand Knob Methodist Church at Nimitz.

Survivors include a son, Andrew Hamm and companion Nancy Rose of Nimitz; a daughter, Denise Louise Jennings of Beckley; two brothers, Norman Hamm and wife JoAnn of Mabscott and Leon Hamm; a sister, Rose Marie Reliford and husband George of True; two grandchildren, Kaylee Michelle Hamm and Jacob Jennings, along with several nieces and nephews who also survive.

Cremation services have been provided by Pivont Funeral Home and interment will be held at a later date in Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz.
