Dennis Wayne Richmond, Jr. 33 of Southside, passed away Tuesday October 5, 2021 at Midway, WV after a sudden illness.

Born October 25, 1987 in Durham, NC he was the son of Brenda Richmond and Bernie of Southside and the late Dennis W. Richmond, Sr.

Dennis was a laborer in the landscaping industry and was of the Baptist faith. He loved to hunt and fish and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved being with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, James C. and Helen Richmond; paternal grandparents, Arley and Syble A. Richmond;  aunt Rebecca Treadway and a special cousin, Rex A. Richmond.

Survivors include his parents, Bernie and Brenda Richmond; girlfriend, Kaylan Marsh; brother, Jesse J. Richmond of Southside; sister-in-law, Jodi Richmond, special niece, Riley Richmond and special nephew, Atley Richmond; a host of cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday October 12, 2021 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery on Freezland Mt. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
