Donald Steven Adkins, 40 of Jumping Branch, died Sunday July 22, 2018 at CAMC General Division in Charleston, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident on July 11, 2018.

Born October 14, 1977 in Hinton, he was the son of Donald Ray and Debra Lynn Adkins of Hinton.

Steven was a mechanic for Gore's Autobody in Hinton. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles. Steven was a loving son, husband, father and brother and will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Besides his parents, survivors include his wife, Nicole Kirk Adkins. Three sons, Skyler Adkins & wife Sherrie of Beckley, Corey Adkins & fiancee' Hannah of Jumping Branch and Kandyn Adkins of Jumping Branch. One daughter, Raven Adkins of Jumping Branch. One sister, Lynn Foster & husband Calvin of Hinton. Two grandchildren, Abigail and Maxx Adkins. Father-in-law, Charles Kirk of Pipestem. Brothers-in-law, Joshua and Michael Kirk, two nieces and two great nieces, along with extended family also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday July 26, 2018 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Eddie Crews officiating. Burial will follow in Upland Cemetery near Hinton. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
