Donavon Izaak Meador, age 22, of Oak Hill, WV, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 20, 2026.

Born on June 8, 2003, he was the son of John Meador of Oak Hill, WV and Stephanie Ruth Lilly Houston of Live Oak, FL.

Donavon was a gentle soul who found his peace in the great outdoors.  Whether he was sitting by a quiet river with a fishing rod in hand or spending hours under the hood of a car, he loved working with his hands and understanding how things worked.

His greatest joy, however, was his family.  Donavon was a loving and playful uncle to his nieces and nephews, always ready for a game or to bring a smile to their faces.  He will be remembered for his kindness, his skill as a mechanic, and the quiet comfort he found in nature.

Donavon was a hard worker in the local food service industry, where he was known by his coworkers for his dedication.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ethel Mansfield and great grandmother, Joy Meador Patterson and great grandfather, William Fred Meador.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, John Meador (Angel) of Oak Hill, WV and his mother Stephanie Houston (Jacob) of Live Oak, FL; grandparents, Grady and Diane Lilly of Ellison Ridge, WV,  Roger and Jeannie Berry of Live Oak, FL, and Albert and Paulette Lowe of Jumping Branch, WV; brothers, Tyler Meador (Rylie) of Pax, WV, Luke Toney of Oak Hill, WV, and Jacariyon Houston of Florida; sisters, Alexandria Lilly (Ronnie) of Pax, WV, Aliyah Meador of Oak Hill, WV,  Madison (Kate) Weikle of Pax, WV,  Mallory Toney of Oak Hill, WV and Jayla and Kayla Houston of Florida; Uncle Brian Lilly (Connie) of Ellison Ridge, WV; Aunt Kasondra Goins (Curt) of Coal City; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at the Lilly Cemetery at Ellison, WV with Pastor Eddie Wills officiating. There will be a visitation service for family and friends on Thursday at Pivont Funeral Home from 12:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Brian Lilly, Tyler Meadows, Zach Gill, Ronnie McGuinnis, John Meador, and Tyler Meador.
