Donna Coleman Bragg, 91 of 921 Temple St. Hinton passed away at 2:13 p.m. Sunday March 31, 2019 at Raleigh General Hospital following a brief illness.

Born January 1, 1928 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Samuel R. and Mary Lena Bonds Coleman.

Ms. Bragg was a homemaker and caregiver. She was a Christian and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be missed by her beloved family who mourn her loss.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Bragg in February 2000. She was also preceded by one son, Opie Earl Massie, Jr. and one daughter, Edith Massie Sparks; two brothers, Bob and Luther Coleman and six sisters, Mary Adkins, Ann Cales, Helen Fox, Margaret Kistler, Betty Hill and Jewell Linkenhoker Brinegar.

Donna is survived by three grandchildren, Melissa Sparks Adkins and husband Dougie Lee of Hinton, Susannah Rae Sparks of Ashland, KY and Jamie Rebecca Sparks of Hinton. She is also survived by a special great grandson, John Coleman Lee Adkins, several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. One sister, Carolina Bragg of Cleveland, OH. Special caregiver, Susie Huffman and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday April 4, 2019 at Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. There will be no visitation. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery on Thursday. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
