Mrs. Donnia Yancey, 78, of Elk Knob, passed away, February 13, 2025, at her home.

She was born August 4, 1946, in Hinton, and was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Lamb Martin.

She was a former owner of The Diner in Hinton, and enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded by her husband, Marvin L. "Tom" Yancey, two brothers, James Martin, and Buddy Martin, and one sister, Bonnie Jean Thornton.

Survivors include two daughters Lisa Meadows (Kenny) of Hinton, and Janet "Penny" Yancey (Kenneth Wills, Jr.) also of Hinton, and one sister Bonnie Romanello.  Special nieces, Juanita Chisholm of Ohio, Linda and Robin Martin both of Hinton, Susie Yancey, of Ohio, and two special nephews, Timmy Yancy of Ohio, and Rocky Romanello of Hinton, also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Benny Allen officiating.  Burial will follow in the Upland Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 pm, until time of service on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Buck and Steven Brown, Kenneth Wills, Jr., Kenny Meadows, and Jimmy Ward.
